Hi all

I bought The Router yesterday as it contained an article in which I was interested.

As I went through I saw two subscription inserts, the first boldly declared SPECIAL DIRECT DEBIT OFFER - 6 issues for 14.45.

The second said Subscribe to The Router for 6 issues and you can claim a FREE router cutter set. As it was a four cutter Wealden set, it caught my eye.

Now when I looked at the order form for the second option the only payment method was by direct debit, but the price was 6 issues for 20.70.

OK it is an excellent offer, but the FREE cutters actually cost 6.25.

Surely this has to be illegal?

Curious

If they state that the lower price is an offer whilst the second offer is a subscription at full cover price BUT you get a free gift for taking it out, then it is all OK

Thanks Tony

Yes, that's exactly what they have done. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

So what they are really saying is subscribe for 20.70 and receive: -

Either A cutter set
Or Save 6.25.

Cheers
Neil
