The green and wetter end of the M4.
my practice one - nothing like the entry one
oak-goblet.jpg

this is where i found out i dont really like the end grain in oak, but love the rest :?

Looking forward to the day when I'm turning out rejects that good nev..!

Nev,

Personally, the only thing I do not like is the "lump" around the middle of the stem - it just looks too bulbous.

Otherwise they (it?) look(s) stunning, and I would be happy to produce such quality.

Mike.

cheers guys, only one goblet - 2 pics merged (free program - gimp =D> ), it would have been the entry but i was just not keen on the grain on the stem and foot (anything i can do to make it 'nicer'??)
so it was kept on standby til i finished another.
and yes, medieval was exactly my thoughts when i fished it, but medieval ladies i think, its only about 5" tall, cant see the sheriff of nottingham wielding it with any sense of authority

LOvely reject Nev,

Whats the finish ?, i love the coloring
