The Gremlin

My dad's workshop has a gremlin
Living deep within it
It hides his tools of smaller kinds
My Dad, he says, he'll skin it.
My dad he says this gremlin is
short and green and hairy
it makes him cross when it hides his things
Just like a naughty fairy
dad stamps around annoyed and cross
he mutters and he cusses
I have to make him smile again
with lots of licks and fusses
One day I'll tell him whats the truth
It isnt green and hairy
But cheeky, naughty, not too tall
and coloured black and furry
Its my mate Quinn thats who it is
that dives dad to distraction
steals his screwers, spanners too
you just should see his action
I'm sure dad really knows just who
acts like a crafty fox
Cos he sighs and grins and gets his tools
back from Quinns Sleeping box
and when dad spots quinn creeping in
intent on yet more plunder
gerroutofit you'll hear him yell
in a voice that sounds like thunder
And quinn will dance and skip and prance
dad says I'll sell you to the kremlin
You naughty cheeky monkey you
you pointy nosed little GREMLIN
