Hi all

The Festool Domino jointer was available in Australia last week and I had thought it was going to be available in the UK in January. The link is here.

Does anyone have any news? Has anyone seen one?

Cheers
Neil

It is also available in Denmark - currently on introductory "offer" for the meagre sum of £350 + 25% VAT. Systainer of 1105 tenon biscuits in various sizes and 4 router bits another £110 + 25% VAT. Not that this helps much!

Looks and feels like a biscuit jointer although a little longer and heavier IIRC. Very substantial fence and the slot appears to be cut with a traversing router cutter. Otherwise, black, green, accurate, and well made like all other Festools.

I was surprised however, by how small the little tenon "biscuits" actually were, especially when compared to standard biscuits...

Cheers
Mike

Hi Mike

Your gross price, including tax, still works out at 80 pounds cheaper than the uk.

Your goods value is 350 and ours is 436.

Are we going to have the same offer in the UK?

Cheers
Neil

As far as I am aware this is a dealer special and not a Festool offer so I guess it will depend upon the generosity your local dealer...

Our normal prices are approx the Festool German website prices + 25%

Cheers
Mike

At least one of the big Ebay shops has been taking pre-orders, more like £500+ as I recall. Don't know if they've changed that to actual orders yet.

I have one on order. I expected it in Jan but nothing came so I rang Minden who tell me they have about 100 or so orders and are expecting about 90 in the next two weeks.
