I have had a quick search and haven't found anything posted before about this project, although I expect many of you know about it.

I make a yearly pilgrimage to Downham Market to get a car serviced. Last year, despite the 5am start, mrstree said she would like to come with me & we could go round Ely Cathedral. I had been before but not taken the guided tour.

It was one of the most interesting tours I can remember.

Skip to section G. Just for the purpose of a "woodworking" introduction to the main event.

Whilst chatting to the Guide she mentioned the "A Table for the Nation" project.

Obviously fascinated, I looked it up when we got home.

This is the sort of inspirational work, together with the absolutely awesome Octagon, that makes me well up with emotion. Don't know why, it just does!
I doubt it'll be installed by my next trip, maybe 2021.

Yes it has been in a thread here before, but thanks for reminding us and for the update. I will have to go and see this at some point.
