Hi
After dropping some fairly broad hints before Christmas my wife bought me the Robert Sorby 330H texturing and spiralling tool. I have never tried any type of texturing so this will be a new venture for me. I will only be texturing bowls and platters initially and, having Googled the 330H tool I wonder whether it is the best choice for that type of work as it seems more suited to spindle work?
Any comments would be appreciated as I am sure that I could change it if necessary.
Thanks.

Also have a look at THIS

I have one and use it on spindle work as well as bowls.

A couple of my examples one spindle using the spiralling part and one face work using the texturing.

It does take a bit of practice so stick with it and you will get there

Thank you Simon and Derek and my apologies for not responding earlier. I watched both videos and I am now reassured that my wife's (guided) choice of tool will be fine. All I need to do now is clear out my workshop and try it out.
