The Tools and Trades History Society Newsletter #123 plopped on my doormat today and I read with interest a submission by our dear Professor...Andy T.

Andy...perhaps you might copy your photographs and text to the UKW Hand Tool forum...it makes interesting reading.

Er... How can I put this? Read on a bit and you'll see a url at the end of the article. It's probably further down the page you are reading now, under 'Similar Topics' - it's

https://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/forums/taths-mystery-plane-t75893.html!

I'll not call it a senior moment, Jim, I'll just assume you've been spending too long stargazing! ;-)

is that link not a senior moment in itself? takes me back to the start of this thread...

Well...anyway...it was a great article! Best in the newsletter...not sure about the rest this month though!

Sorry! I blame this nice but somewhat fiddly tablet and having to swap browsers half way through as one didn't want to let me type, let alone do 'advanced' things like copying and pasting URLs....

But now we've got the links sorted (thanks!) has anyone got or heard of one of these ugly ducklings?

they made toy cars

Thank you Steve! So I now know that there was an Australian company, Good wood (Aust) Productions, who made toy cars and some little model maker's planes.

The Powerhouse museum in Sydney has over 100 of their metal toys, including this near miss

and gives dates of 1952-61, which sounds about right, but the HTPAA site that you showed has this image

but not a lot more information.

Thanks again.
