Hi there

I wanted to check about the sizes of the blades for the table saw.
I have DeWalt DWE7485 and on the label, I have D=210mm.
Does this mean that the blade must be smaller than 210mm?

I am looking for a blade that is quite wide (kerf) that will allow me to create finger joints for cabinets. Can you recommend one?

What else do I need to keep in mind if I want to buy a new blade?

thanks :)

Welcome

Your blade is 210mm diameter with a 30mm bore in the centre. I would suggest you initially do some online searching for info on blades so you have the basics as it is not as simple as you may think, there are quiet a few parameters that will effect the end results and then with these in mind you will have a better understanding and suggestions that are made will make more sense.

It means the maximum diameter of blade is 210mm or 8-1/4in and by convention you should never install a blade with a diameter less than 60% of the size of the original (I.e 126mm or 5in). You might be able to accommodate a couple of blades side by side on the arbor with appropriately sized shims together the extra width you are after (e.g 2 no. 165 x 30 blades with a 1.6mm kerf = 3.2mm width in total), but you'd need to be certain that the blade nut would accommodate this and you may need to replace the throat plate around the saw with a home made one to accommodate the wider kerf. At 1800 watts on a universal motor your saw is also fairly low powered for wide blades. The other thing you need to check is the bore of any blade - your saw requires with a 30mm bore which is fairly common on saw blades of 190mm diameter and over but relatively uncommon on smaller saw blades
