Table top band saw

Hi guys this might have been coverd

My Dkiei band saw blade snaped, 1400mm or 55" blade hit tje stoped button and unplued it, now toolstation and screwfix dont sell the 55" inch blases had to go to ebay, fitted the blade, no power to it change out the fuse and tested the one i pulled out was working fine, but the power button the stop one fells solied unlike as before ill.get pics up soon as

You could try removing the off/on switch ( isolate from power supply) and give it a good blow out, fine dust often gets into the switch and can prevent the contacts working .

That switch not looking too good also the stop button dos look like its jammed

As said try bowing all the muck out and it might be ok , last time i opened up the switch on my bandasaw there was loads of fine stuff inside and it only takes a small amount to stop the contacts working correctly

After investigating the power there is none going through it so. On the meter 240 volts, from the plug but at the inlet to the switch could not get a reading on the jumpers only reading i got of the was on the 2 comming in, also there was a good earth also, so probs after a totally strip down to see where i go from
