Hi all,
I have a Startrite table saw that has been in the family longer than I have, & I'm 66!
It has a serial number of 0406.
If anyone can give me any information on it I would be happy
Many thanks,
Pe Ja

AFAIK as a firm they started up in the late 1940s (1947, I think although first registration at companies house was in 1953) at Gillingham, Kent and were initially owned by Thorn (as in electronics), later by Cohen's (600 Group). These days ALT Spares can supply replacement parts for older Startrite saws, etc.

Out of interest, what model is yours?

Hi,
The saw was my Dad's. He died back in 2012. As far as I know he had it from new.
The only identification I can find on it is the serial number (0406). The saw stands on metal legs with the table at a height of about 1.2 meters. It has a one horse motor.
