I have a Scheppach Prima-TKU 315mm table saw. I am considering replacing it for something up to date. The main reason behind this is the lack of mitre facility it does have a crude mitre facility but not that accurate. The saw is first class and works well, the fence is also very basic.

Would appreciate your thoughts on what is worth considering. If I could get the necessary jigs for the Scheppach then I would stick with it but it is quiet old now.

i dont know the saw but could you not make a cross cutting sled on it, or does the blade not tilt?

Blade tilts okay, but there are no recesses on the table. Table edges are not plain, ie they have bits attached to them.

But a good idea, thanks for that.

I have thought about putting a wooden table top on top of the metal one and incorporating recesses in that, but I think the kreg mitre gauge/jig that I am looking at will not run smoothly.
