One more question from me today.

I have some nice boards for a table top. Just wondering is it ever ok to double up on the stock to create thickness for table legs..

i.e. Laminate two boards to create a leg,

Yes, my table legs are 3 pieces glued together.

I have made an oak table using newel posts. they are just long enough to make two legs from a long one, and they are laminated and veneered.

The legs for this White Oak table are laminated

I used Flag polyurethane - oil based - from Toolstation; diluted 50/50 with thinners, wiped on with a cloth

For current build Coffee table I will be looking for a better quality oil/based Polyurethane to use the 50/50 wipe-on method again

I took advice from 'Inspector' and found these Oak pieces which I laminated the legs from
