Switch on my pillar drill

I went to use my pillar drill to day and pressed the green on button, it started to turn but when I released the button it stopped.
It seems to do this now all the time but has always been fine up till now.
Any suggestions on how to fix it please.

Sounds like a new switch to me. I replaced the switch on mine recently with an NVR for a bit of extra safety. From memory it cost about £20 from ebay.
