Hi all,

I'm working on the leg vice on my work bench,

I've got a rough idea of how I want things and I've made a test piece for the support at the bottom with multiple holes to fix the vice at certain widths...

I think I need some hardware namely some kind of runner wheels above and below the opening on the inside of the leg to make it run smoother and take the weight of the vice.

Not sure what these are called / what to Google does anyone know what they're called?

Thanks

Chris

Hi, not quite sure what you mean, as I can't really visualise what you're describing but you could try googling for suppliers of trunnions or guide wheels??

Hi,

thanks for the reply, i'll have a look at them..

to clarify heres a picture, the horizontal piece with the hole in - that moves in and out with the vice,

I'm thinking a wheel above and below where this piece goes through the leg, (on the left hand side of the leg) will give me a smoother action (using a really old wooden vice screw that someone gave me)

thanks

Chris
