Hi, John

Very nice, but shouldn't it be called a rain canopy?

Pete

No Pete because its there to keep the sun out of my eyes while have breakfast alfresco

What do you do about anchoring it down if it is removeable?
Do you screw plates down to the floor everytime? or remove them?

Its really nice and given me a potential idea for mine

Yes a couple of stainless L brackets on each post (theres only four posts )
The trusses fix with one screw at either end and two timber angle braces on the house wall
It also needs 2 stainless wire strainers on the end farthest from the house.

I had a boat cover man make the canvas roof

Should take around 2 hours to dismantle and 3 hours to erect next time.

It has already put up with 40 mph winds and torential rain

I'm afraid if it takes 2hrs to dismantle and 3hrs to erect, at my house it would have a life span of one day!

We will just leave it up all summer until the autumn now
