Can anyone explain to me the funny money numbers announced on the media re football, wages, transfer fees purchase of shares etc.

I cannot see how these things can be economically viable.
I'm not getting any money out of the building socitities whatever answers are given.

canna help with the explanation, but after hearing about that Liverpool prat thumbin his nose at £100k/week I figured there's a guy who needs a slap up side the head with a 4x2... then have him spend a month with a broom in his hand to see life from the other side of the fence...

I canna be the only guy who finds that kinda cash utterly obscene... for kickin a friggin ball..????????????????
