Having a cup of tea!
Hello, I'm fairly new to the forum, I've been a long time lurker but felt compelled to post on another topic so have joined up.

Anyway, a little while a go I was asked by a friend in an amateur dramatic society if I would build some scenery stuff for them. I quite fancied the challenge and gave it a go. It turned out its wasn't very challenging but quite interesting.
I did find myself having to do some research as the theatre stipulated that everything had to treated with flame retardant.

I found myself coming across a company called Flints which specialise in theatre chandlery.

I have returned home today to find I have received their 2013 catalogue (I know it's nearly 2014 now but hey I'm not going to turn down a freebie!).

They do quite a range of finishing products and stuff I haven't seen anywhere else before.

I have no affiliation with them other than being a customer but just thought that if anyone was looking for something special or unusual they may find them of use?

Website is www.flints.co.uk (although it's not brilliantly designed but it does the job just fine)

Hope you find it of use

Cheers.

Thanks for the link. Lots of very strange things on there, I don't know how much I'd ever get around to using, but it was worth taking a look just to find a 5 litre bottle of Isopropyl Alchohol!

Can't find the stuff in any reasonable quantities around here, it's as if you're automatically planning something nefarious the moment that you ask for the stuff. Fantastic stuff for general cleaning let alone the more obvious use as a solvent.

Thanks for the heads up.

In return, (like yourself, I'm not affiliated, just surprised at some of the useful stuff I've not seen elsewhere) Check out http://www.sylmasta.com/ I found a surprising range of interesting putties, resins, adhesives etc there. It's also got the best range of MicroMesh products that I've ever seen.

Have fun.

Nic.
