Just want to show off my beginnings in woodwork.

(There are a few too many pictures to put in 'Your Work' section.

Stuff I made!

(Please excuse the site. Just knocked it up in my tea break :) )

You did have a lot to make at Christmas then Duncan :D

Glad you finished them in time - they look great, I hope the people you gave them to appreciates them : :)

Where did you buy that clock face from?

btw you can't tell you used hotmelt glue

Clockface, hands and mechanism from http://www.woodenmodels.com

Have since found several other (potentially cheaper ) places:

http://www.craft-supplies.co.uk
http://www.clock-parts.co.uk
http://www.jeanburhouse.com

plus a few others I can't remember the URL's for.

First one (woodenmodels) is cheapest for faces, all the others sell the quartz mechanisms at a better price.

Already got two friends of my Father-in-law asking for a picture-clock. Just need to work out 'a very good price' :D

(Clever photography hides the hot melt glue   )

Hi Duncan

I bet Santa was popular this Christmas. You've got some nice gifts there.

BTW, there's nothing wrong with hot glue in appropriate situations. At least it doesn't dry white, unlike some PVA!

Yours

Gill
