Has anyone come up with the perfect storage for screws bolts hinges etc?
I have tried small compartment boxes etc
I always find the last handful of screws don't have a home
or a drill bit is too long

and then i go through stacks of boxes to find what I need

this is a desperate plea for ideas

I've gone away from the storage box racks in favour of the carry case organisers.

I find it really convenient to have a case of all different screw sizes alongside a case of other fasteners, plugs etc. Screwfix have the Stanley sort master on offer at present, three carry cases at half price. They are really useful and a low cost pressie from well meaning offspring who Insist on buying old spice. :tool:

In the workshop, Ikea Moppe mini chest of drawers x as many as needed. Out and about, Tanos/Festool systainer(s) with coloured box inserts - there's a few going on eBay ATM, if that helps.

Cheers, Pete

I've opted for a complete Raaco system.

I have three of these for portable use, for screws, nuts, bolts and the like.

In the workshop I have several wall mounted parts draws with various draw sizes that hold everything from nuts and bolts to crimp terminals and LEDs.
