I don't know if anyone saw the story on the front page of Wednesday's Telegraph about the baby penguin that was stolen from a zoo in the Isle of Wight. The photograph of its parents was particularly sad as you could clearly tell that the mother was pining for her lost baby. Apparently if the chick is not returned to its parents within 5 days it will get really ill because it won't be getting the right sort of food. It's a bit saddening really that some thoughtless silly person(s) have done this (especially as these penguins are rare). So much for humanity, especially at this time of year when we should be thinking about good will to all men (and animals!).

I can't help thinking that this close to xmas that it might be some sick persons idea for an alternative xmas dinner?
