I cannot even type http://www.facebook.com into the address bar.

it goes to google or other loads of urls.

Anyone know what is going on please?

how much of the URL can you type before it realises you are attempting to go to facebook ? what happens ? Which browser is this ? Do you have any other browsers you can try ? how about another machine you can try this on ? If you suspect you have some kind of infestation, it's likely that it will have infected the big browsers such as IE, Firefox, Chrome. Maybe install Opera or even Lynx to test it.

Thanks problem solved by virginmedia, they made me delete history and cookies etc. said I most probably had picked up something yesterday when I downloaded an update to my Nikon app.

So back in.

I just did a bit of research on your behalf and other people are saying that deleting browsing history fixes this.

Isn't that a good thing? Imagine all the stuff you can now do instead of reading that 'Dave is eating corn flakes for dinner' or 'Sarah has just bought sanitary pads on Amazon'!

Our family , 3 daughters and 7 grandchildren use it privately to keep in touch has we are spread from Devon to Kent and bucks.

So us it is a very worthwhile app, plus Skype and facetime.
