Hi everyone,

thanks to everyone who had input into the Jet- 310 P/T that I asked about.

Still undecided about what P/T to go for :?

What does anyone know about Holztech machinery,in particular their P/T's?

Again any feedback would be much appreciated, thanks guys.

Mark.

I presume you are looking at something like this.
http://www.holztech.com/uk/product_deta ... 0&cat_id=3

I am pretty sure although not 100% that these are also badged as startrite machines http://www.diytools.co.uk/diy/Main/sp-4 ... nesser.asp and also very similar to the record power machine.

I have seen these at woodworking shows and look good value for the money. They are not the very highest quality but are solid and workmanlike. Often very similar machines can be seen badged as other manufacturers such as rojek

Barry nearly had me tempted with one of them planers yesterday,
If i had £1100 spare to buy a new planer, I'd buy that one
I need another radial arm saw before i can upgrade my p/t, I wont compete for the Holztech

If you are happy to pay that sort of price, you really should have a look at the Moretens H410 from Homewood and save yourself a mountain of time and inconvenience because their is no conversion process between planing and thicknessing. Had one for several years and it's great machine, made in Sweden. Homewood are good to deal with too.
