My older brother had a Mamod steam train when I was a kid, it burned hex tablets iirc - only saw it run a few times but it was very cool, with a proper whistle and everything. No idea if he still has it, but would be good to give to one of our nephews in a few years.

I have a Mamod traction engine in my attic, with trailers too.

Very annoyed I was in the area last weekend and not this forthcoming one.

One original Mamod roller and one self build copy still in the family.
