Startrite RS1 bandsaw

Hello all....

Just been looking at bandsaws and have come across this RS1. It looks an oldie but goody...I’m wondering if anybody on here knows or has had experience of these Machines.
From what I can tell it is a bench top or stand model....so may suit my purpose..
Waiting in anticipation on some positive feedback....(hopefully).

if it's older than 10 years it will be prob made in the UK........
the later stuff was manufactured in Chinesium......and made to a price.....
if it's old and heavy go for it, u can't go wrong ......providing theres no major breaks.....then u'll need a couple of friends to help with the move...hahaha...
even if it needs some TLC....bearing, guides n tyres.....provided the price is right.....
Just so u know I have an old Meddings floor standing pillar drill thats gotta b as old as me (71) and still perfek after a tweek or two, plus a motor.....
have ur fun with it....

Hi there frank,
Thanks for the info..I’m trying to find out how old it is...according to the seller it is 55kg....weetabix for brekky hehe.
Sprees and bits I think are available....will keep you posted
