startrite H 200 bandsaw cutting vertical

I have a Startrite H200 bandsaw and I cannot it to cut vertical how can I put this right

I'm no expert at that machine, but I think it is designed to be a horizontal cutter so I don't know if a vertical cut is possible.

Do you mean it's cutting crooked? I fitted new guide bearings and a new blade to mine and it sorted it out.

If I put some angle iron in the vice it dose not cut square there is about2 mm off square on a bit of 50mm angle iron

Are the guides roller bearings? If so, check they spin freely. They probably won't. Is the tension ok? How old is the blade?
