Hi all...
Looking at a Stanley 1287 router ....asking £95 with cutters etc....would anyone think it’s wirth the money?. Seeing as I presume it’s old could it be refurbished if required.

Cheers for comments

are you wanting it because you want a router, or because it is a vintage item?

if I just wanted a router, I would choose something more modern either new or used. Bearings can probably be replaced, but anything electrical is going to be difficult.

I have a really old Stanley fixed based router unsure of the model number, dose any one know if I can get still collets Stanley Routers collets currently has a 6mm coluuet could do with 1/4" one

To much for and old router. Older Elu can be excellent but I'd save for something new.

I would recommend dewalt DW625 or Trend T10 1/2" Router or if you looking for somthing small the Dewalt DW621 or Trend T5.
