Whilw waiting for the man in the white van from Axminster, I thought I'd get some planing practice in before the real beasts arrive.

This # 5 hasn't been used for over 10 years and I have to admit was in a very sorry state as Philly can concur.

With a little loving care on the blade complimens of Philly and about 5 hours work on the body by myself, really has turned out well, even managed to produce some lovely shavings.

Mybe not as good as the expensive versions but nevertheless still takes off shave or two.

Waka,

Very nice, mate. Might as well cancel that order then really...

Cheers, Alf

Admin: I fixed the image code in this post so I deleted the second attempt, hope that's okay. :)

No problem, didn't work first time for some reason.

Still waiting for that white van, ifit doesn't come soon I'll have to console myself with a couple of beers.

Waka, you had the brackets of the code in the wrong spot. Like this:
Code:
[img http://www.fantasypicturehost.com/madeupimagename.jpg][/url]
Instead of:
Code:
[img]http://www.fantasypicturehost.com/madeupimagename.jpg[/url]
Look carefully, there is a difference, honest. :D Another common problem is letting a space creep in between the code, which will stop it working too. :( No worries though, you should be able to edit your own post to correct it, rather than having to try again. 8)

Cheers, Alf

Alf, I think you have this wrong as well, I think it should be:-
Code:
[img]http://www.fantasypicturehost.com/madeupimagename.jpg[/img]

IE you need to close the img tag with /img not /url
