Yes, I want (rather than need) one. Envisage mainly using it to scrape off dried glue.

Hi Mike.S

Well do you want one of mine?

Its got red paint on it bet everything else is new, I found it in a skip just the body and ordered all the missing bits.

£10+P&P

Its a good tool for all sorts of jobs not just glue.

Pete

I've got a Record and a Stanley. Not much to choose between them. It's a useful tool for getting a final finish on hardwood. I really don't see why anyone would be reluctant to 'admit to needing one of these' - it's a good alternative to using abrasives. Am I missing something?

i have both record and stanley also and prefer the record one, duno why, i plane to use it on my side table made from sapele.

I use one (a Record) quite often - easier on the thumbs than a ordinary scraper :)

Yes please - will PM you later (wife just shouting that dinner's ready)!

A "Cabinet Scrapper" eh?

No, I don't have a use for one of those at the moment. Mind you, if I did, I'd expect it to be more hammer or crow-bar shaped.

Still - any tool in the wrong hands....
