Ooh interesting.. Having a love affair with concrete screws myself at the moment, might try these.

Same here, will grab some next time I'm near a TLC.

Miniature Thunderbolts. :)

I remember when their patent didn't allow cheaper non thunderbolty screws, was a painful experience from my local shop.

These have been available in France for some time, their only problem is if you use them on something with a changing load, i.e. an electrical back box, constant plugging and unplugging of the appliance will pull these out, especially if they are fixed into lightweight blockwork, in shear they are fine, as strong as the material they are fixed to can take the load.

I can imagine exactly what you mean with that actually, but are you sure they're the same? Curious that's all.

Modern/young French have a love affair with plasterboard, they tend to plasterboard over all of those wonderful stone walls that the Brits like so much, the French so called Artisans will use anything they think will make their life easier, metal battens to support the plasterboard screwed directly into the lime stone is the norm, and these screws are what they use.

Call me old fashioned, but in my world, plasterboard should only be used on ceilings and even then only to provide the fire rating required.
