Spalted Beach

7" dia 2 1/2" high

sanded to 400 grit ,
Sanding sealers then Microcrystalline wax

The foot's not to my personal taste but everything else is very nice. This may sound a bit odd but I find the inside curve and finish particularly eye-pleasing, maybe because of the trouble I have with it. The profile is quite deceptive, it looks at least half as tall as it is wide.

Nice simple, clean shape. Lets the wood speak for itself.

Nice clean bowl Allen with nice detail round the rim.
Not so keen though on the foot either.

I normally remove the foot on my bowls but fancied something different , its only about 3mm

Very nice, Mr B. I like the way the foot lifts the bowl off the surface. Like the low-key rim details, too.
Though isn't the wood Beech, rather than Beach?
(Sorry, Mum's a stickler for spelling)

I just thought it was a new variation of Sanding.
