Hi All
Hope your all keeping safe currently.
I'm looking for a dust extractor just for sanding on the lathe, I realise it's wasteful otherwise.
I've read and probably re-read a lot of posts on here on the subject.
My requirement/preference is small if possible(limited space)
I am currently using a Festool CT26 (236 cubic metres an hour) for lathe
I have an old charnwood W690 (2000 CMH) but with cloth bag on top so not all that good.
Also have running while in workshop Record AC400 and while turning Trend Airshield Pro

I'm looking at Record CVG286-4 (388CMH)
Axminster AT50E (1000CMH) but is wall mounted and have no space to wall mount anyway plus poor reviews.
Numatic NV750 and NVD750 (150CMH & 300CMH) both less effective than the record.

Thoughts suggestions please.
Thanks
Geoff

Geoff, it is a CGV286-1 and is a few years old now so has probably been updated. It works really well and has given me no problems but you may need to fit an exhaust pipe to take the air outlet away from the lathe, this is great in winter as the warm air keeps the feet cosy. I also have a jet air filter at roof height of the workshop that runs whilst I am in there and for an hour after I have finished.
