Sorby Woodturning Lathe

Hi everyone have just joined the site.
I have a Sorby Lathe and I am looking to reduce from 1 inch - 8 pti to a 3/4 inch - 16 pti.
Any advise/info please. Is there a collet/reducer available?

Hi and Welcome.
You do not say why you want to reduce the spindle thread but if its to fit a chuck may I suggest getting one that fits the 1" 8tpi as it is more likely to still be of use if you change your lathe. You can always get reducing adapters to fit inside the chuck but enlarging ones are harder to find. Most chuck makers do a range of inserts to suit the stupid variety of spindle sizes on the market.
If you already have a chuck from a previous lathe check to see if it has an adapter in the rear already as it my just need removing or a new adapter buying to fit the 1"
