I own several Sorby's: 1.5" framing, 1" corner-framing, 3-3/8" slick. Also a 2" no.284 registered (got a good cash deal).
They haven't been subjected to years of abuse but several months of intense use over the years.
Steel is excellent. Handles are good.
Not broken them, but then I haven't broken any handles on any chisels. Repaired / replaced some on others second-hand.
I liked the H-Taylor but felt the Sorby were better value for money.
Also several Oak framing companies were (at time of my buying) using them.
