Just occasionally I'm out on a Saturday night, and I don't always look at every old plane on offer on eBay, but if I'd seen that I would have ventured a bit more than a fiver just out of curiousity. Do you know any more about it Andy (or anyone else)? Is it a blacksmith's one off, or an early production model aimed at hard use?

Hopefully it will be re-listed due to non payment   I doubt it somehow

Not sure of anything about it except it looked early and I fell in love with it when it was listed.
My first thought was Roman
Would have thought heavy usage would have resulted in some serious blisters with that handle  And what a beauty of a handle , nicely executed =D>
The bar holding the wedge looked a bit low to me?

Andy
Ps I'll start the re-bid at £25
