soft close hinges

Hi folks , what im after are hinges to replace the kind of gas filled hinges that you sometimes see on car boots . At work we have wooden hatches which need to have self closing hinges on, due to lazy people who would not otherwise close the hatch & so creating a dangerous environment. At present we use the gas filled arms but these are a real pain to fit & i wondered if there was anything out there which would be easier, i saw some soft closers on jacksons fencing website but without seeing these i dont know if they would be any good.By the way the hatches are made of 19mm or 25mm ply & are about 2 feet square , any help would be appreciated , thanks Tony

Have a look at either Blum or heteich soft close hinges. Both have types with a small gas closer in them. Neither are cheap but both are very good.

Track down a local kitchen fitter he will have loads knocking about, or go to a kitchen suppliers.

Not trying to be funny but its only 4 screws to fit the brackets of a piston stay and a simple measurement to align the brackets
The Piston type are a lot stronger than the hinge type and will out last them

Or have I got the wrong end of the Stick
