I am looking for a router trimmer, say, Makita, DeWalt or Bosch Palm router mainly for cutting door hinges, small routing jobs, instead of having to lug my Makita 1/2 " router about.

Do any of these machines have height adjustment and do they accept guide bushes ?

TIA Andrew

Hi Andrew

I have the Bosch palm router (GKF600 I think) and the answer is yes on both accounts, the guide bushes though are the Bosch SDS snap in type and height adjustment is acieved by unlatching the base for course adjusment and via a wheel for fine, it works very well and I have been very happy with mine. Definately a quality tool.

Regards

Richard

Buy me buy me, I'm so pretty and green!

This is a great little router, for the things you need it for.
Search on Google and you see they use this little router a lot in the US.
By Ax they have this router also.

Success Schummie.

I use the Makita 3707 for that type of thing, it will take their own guide bushes, height adjustment is a small roller on the clamp but not that progressive, can usually set it to 0.25mm

The GKF600 is a great little router, it is a shame they have put the price up so much. I think my first one was £80.
You have to change the base to fit guide bushes.
