Im looking to fit some sliding wardrobe doors along one whole side of my mums bedroom. I was thinking of buying 4 generic sized doors, and then building a stud work partition/skim to bring one wall and the ceiling inwards to suit the opening needed by those doors. My logic being that stud-wall and plastering is easy and cheap, whereas custom sized wardrobe doors are costly and beyond my means of making.

However, I'm finding it difficult to get quality doors in an off-the-shelf size. Seems that quality doors are custom made, which makes sense, but defeats the object as I'm paying for a sizing service that I don't need.

Does anyone know where I can get generic sliding wardrobe doors, but quality made, and not the £50 rubbish from b&q etc?

Hope my crazy plan to save a few pennies makes sense.

Joe.
