Hi, we just got awarded a pretty nice job, extension and refurb, part of which involves a sliding door. They wanted it made of timber, but it will be pretty big - one fixed panel approx 2.0 m and one sliding panels approx 2.0m. ( Total of approx 4m opening) I was dubious about doing it in wood, ( due to potential issues with movement ..) at the least I would of thought it should be made laminated. I was leaning more towards aluminium, of which there are many firms and profiles which would be very suitable. Would it be wood they decide on, is there anyone here with any experience of making anything like this, anyone who wants to quote?
