Charley, What was the reasons for purchasing the green machine other than the blue machine?
I know the blue one has a smaller diameter wheel and motor, but it is about £90+ cheaper

I have read numerous reviews of this machine and am trying to convince myself to part with the cash. I guess if I add up all the small costs involved in sharpening it will not be far off the total cost of this green machine.

By all accounts it is the bees knees and I am very very tempted to purchase....... the only thing holding me back is the cost.

James - am I right in thinking that the blue machine takes all the same jigs and does the same job, but is plastic-bodied instead of steel? I'm in exactly the same position as Noel, and as I do a bit of turning, the whole package comes to a right few bob!
