SIP 1200MM Lathe 01490

I'm after a new drive belt for my SIP 1200MM Lathe 01490..no local supplier..any ideas or suggestions as to where i can obtain a belt..i have tried a belt off another SIP lathe 01360, belt was marked 0-560, but won't go anywhere near my lathe pulleys.

Presumably you've tried contacting SIP UK direct?

We're fortunate to have a small bearing/belt company in the town that stocks a variety ... suggest you check Yellow pages for anything similar in your area...

Thanks oldsoke..have tried many times to get in touch with SIP...just got through 10 mins ago...their website is "under construction"...as my lathe is still under warranty, they have agreed to send out a new belt, along with another part which is faulty...lathe is too heavy to send back to SIP. Many thanks...Ray.

I am sure I read it on here (forum) that to order SIP woodworking machine parts just go to your nearest Halfords.

Anyone done this?
