Hi guys,

Just done a search for the SIP 01929 Dust Extractor on here and I see a few people have them so hoping someone can answer me a question before I buy one.

One site I've seen them for sale on talks about paper bags which are available for them but others sites seem to have no mention of them at all.
Do they need the paper bag? I assume to collect dust etc. Can you just use a plastic bag or does it not need a bag at all?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Andy,

I have three of the 01929s in my workshop hooked up to the router table, woodrat and also the crown guard on my table saw.

The paper bags are not for waste collection but go over the filter to prevent the duct clogging within the fins of the filter plus removing the much finer dust particles.

When you buy an 01929 you get about 6 paper bags with it and to be honest I probably only change mine every 6 to 8 months anyway as you can clean them with an airline.

Hi Rog,

Thanks for the info, very helpful. Looks like I need to get ordering!
I guess you're pleased with yours if you've got 3!

Thanks again.
