Just wondering has anyone experience with the Cast iron Sip 01575 10x7 planer thicknesser ? I was about to buy one secondhand and then saw the axminster --similar machine but more expensive
Who make the Sip range or are they all very similar ? My main objective is accuracy as i build guitars and need something wthat will not let me down and most be 100% accurate when truing up wood and also when thicknessing.
Any advise appreciated
Cheers

These machines come "badge engineered" with different names and colour schemes and slightly varying specifications. But they're all from the same Asian factories.

I have the smaller SIP brother and it's worked well for many years. Accuracy is a question of how well the machine is set up more than the "make".

Thanks for that Roger, I'm kinda leaning towards the sip as its coming at a good price. I live in Ireland and there's not that many choices unless I import from Uk or USA. This one is only 2 months old so its in good shape with not much work done apparently.
Thanks
Rusty
