Can anyone help I have a sip 01344 planner thicknesser but the timber does not feed through when in thicknesser mode . Has anyone had this problem before ? Or know someone who could help pls

Exactly, see if the feed roller/s are rotating and go on from there.
Once fixed wax and polish the bed, always helps.
 
Planers and thicknessers take no prisoners though:

Do NOT attempt to investigate with the machine running -- always physically disconnect the machine from the mains (and make sure you can see the pulled-out plug to prove it).

When I was a child, my grandfather came up from the mill to their cottage one evening, very sombre. I didn't understand but could tell something was very wrong from the tone of the adults' voices. Later my mother told me that there had been a planer accident (they were big Wadkins). I believe someone lost a hand.

There wouldn't be bits left big enough to be worth sewing back on again.

Indeed, best to be safe but I think it should be ok to run it and see if the feed roller is working.
So stand well back, use a torch if needed and have a nosey.
