This machine is similar, if not identical to the Metabo HC260C and Record PT260. The flat feed drive belt seems very loose and slips if I introduce a heavy load. SIP no longer stock this belt, nor do Metabo or Record as far as I can tell. Because the belt has clearly stretched (no tension adjustment exists on this machine) I need to replace it but there are no reference numbers on it. Does anyone know the correct standard measurement of a new belt . The one on my machine is 20mm wide and the measurement round the pulleys is 645mm and belt thickness is 3.5mm. I know it is not a stretch belt but I guess the new one wants to be a tight fit when new so the ID would I guess need to be 640mm but all the similar ones from specialist belt suppliers I have seen don’t do one close to this size. I’ve found one supplier who say they have a belt for this machine but it is only 17mm wide. Any ideas or am I missing something? Particularly are belt dimensions shown as ID or OD. I see a similar thread on this subject in September 2012 but it sadly doesn’t quote the size or any suppliers (apart from SIP who no longer stock it).
Thanks

Is the width that critical? 3mm less doesn’t sound that bad plus the old belt could have spread slightly.
