Here's one, going away tomorrow for a day or two so hoped to finish this tonight. All done except for a visit to the stones.

from left to right, Uddeholm carbon steel lapp blade from Workshop Heaven, brass bolster, bit of bog oak, plastic spacer, bit of spalted beech.

Especially like the small section of spalted wood between the blade and wrapping (tape? inlay?)

Very nice wood too - spalted beech or sycamore?
 
Sorry about the lack of response from me, have been away with no net access.

Im not sure where you mean Tony, from left to right we have the blade, a brass bolster, a bog oak section, a little plastic spacer, and then the rest of the handle which is spalted beech.

Evergreen the blade is fixed with a mixture of epoxy and Super steel in different places
