Knocked these out today for some family members. I used Soft Maple, Red Oak and a little Black or American Walnut. The outside two measure 13"X13", and the middle one is 13"X16". All are 1.5" thick.

Very stylish, Ken :) .

As the principle user of one of these devices in my own kitchen  , might I suggest that you rout out a little area in the end grain on any future cutting boards you make? Having somewhere to grip a heavy board when you lift it is very useful.

Very nice and I agree with Gil about a recess for the fingers.

The only thing I'm not happy about is the fact that you did all three in a day, that could get you into trouble with forum members for working so fast :D :D

Sorry about that Waka! Umm, OK, it took me, let's see, hows three days!

As for the recess. These will have five small wood "feet" on the bottom that will lift them about 1/2" off of the counter. Just enough I hope to get fingers under to pick them up.
