Interesting to come across something that is actually sold as being capable of removing silicone. (undoubtedly as in spray on stuff not solid, I would think)

looks like a mix of nonane, decane and undecane alkanes with some other little bits mixed in, add fish oil and you've got wd40. not sure how that doesn't leave an oily residue.

don't eat it.

I've used expanding foam cleaner to remove silicone from around a window. Worked quite well - didn't dissolve the silicone but did soften it enough for a scraper to slide beneath.
