May I ask, given that I've just started having a go at making boxes (nothing quite as impressive looking as that one, however), how did you make the joints? the lid? and how does the lid stay on?

I made the whole box hand cut finger joints,then cut the lid off on my band saw, i would have done the joints on the band saw but i only had a rough cut blade so waited for new ones to turn up then cut the lid off. I'm looking for some nickel hinges rather than brass. I think they would look better
