hi every very new to site and woodturning !
one can any one tell me if PVA glu any good for sealing ends as I have loads of it!
best regards
minimad :)

Yes, it's fine. Two coats if needed. I've used anything that came to hand - pva, old gloss, undercoat, varnish, even emulsion works with two or three coats. Some are better than others, but I refuse to pay for a purpose made product when I have other stuff to use up.

I have been using emulsion paint what I do is get an old roller tray pour some paint into it and roll the blank in it I then roll it in two layers of newspaper strips just a bit wider that the blank, so far this has worked for me at the same time I use a permanent marker and put information on such as wood type and date when stored

I have used PVA but when I do. I get mole spores on the surfaces covered. Am I doing something wrong?

You are not the only one when I used PVA I had the same problem but since I changed to the method I use above not had the problem

I'm with Phil.p on this one, I already got Moles in the garden, I don't want'em spreading via spores!

I learnt something new today use good quality pva glue as some pva are for kids paints and are not the one to use lol
we all learn as we go along in life
