I've just been reading 'Scroll Saw Bench Guide' by Zachary Taylor published 2002, previously published 1999 as Scroll Saw Workshop Bench Reference. I borrowed the former from the library and just purchased the latter second hand from Amazon. I decided to get the older version because it is spiral bound. It covers components and features, accessories, saw blades, basic sawing principles and techniques, sawing wood and non-wood materials, cutting techniques, and patterns. There's jigs in there too, along the way. I'd recommend it for beginners, and experienced users will most likely find it interesting too, especially Hegner users as the Hegner is often used to illustrate.
I don't think I could recommend at the retail price of around £26, but a borrowed copy or a cheap used copy is well worth reading.
Martin, with time on his hands this morning.
